corevanix.com uses no tracking, marketing or advertising cookies and loads no third-party tracking scripts. This notice summarises what we store in your browser, why, and how you can manage it.
1. What do we store?
- Functional — theme preference. Your light/dark mode choice is kept in your browser's local storage (localStorage) under the key "theme". It is not a classic cookie: it is never sent to the server and cannot identify you.
- Strictly necessary — language preference (NEXT_LOCALE cookie). The website is multilingual (Hungarian, English, German); the language you choose is kept in a first-party session cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) that is deleted when you close your browser. It contains only the language code (hu, en or de), cannot identify you and is not used for tracking. As it is required for the service to work, no consent is needed.
- Analytics — Vercel Analytics. Anonymous, page-view based traffic measurement. It sets no cookie, uses no persistent identifier and does not store your IP address (a non-reversible hash expiring within a day is derived from it). We only see aggregates: page views, referrer, country, device and browser type.
- Performance — Vercel Speed Insights. Measures Core Web Vitals (loading time, interactivity, visual stability), also without cookies or identifiers.
2. Why do we use them?
- Functional: so the site opens in the theme you chose on your next visit.
- Analytics and performance: to see which pages are useful and to measure and improve site speed. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); as no personal data is stored, no prior consent (cookie banner) is required.

Transfers rely on the adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and on Standard Contractual Clauses.
4. Managing cookies and local storage
There are no marketing or advertising cookies on this site, so there is nothing to opt out of. You can remove the theme preference at any time by clearing your browser data:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
After clearing, the site follows your system theme until you choose again.
